You must have thought I disappeared… Well, I kind of did…
For the past 20 days, i’ve been working on three performance projects, all of which came to pass this past weekend!
The First: I’ve been working with Movement and Image materials (discovered during my time in Spain) to create a Dance/Theater Performance called “Sweet Canvas”. I showed an excerpt of this piece in this past weekend’s Spiel Uhr Performance hosted by Group Motion Dance Company!

…”How long has this stage been rained on by artists and what does their water taste like?…The beautiful weight of an Artist’s water. This is a sweet canvas. We stand in another universe besides our own, we’ve found ourselves in a sea of water . We look around and swim towards a direction and out of pride or desperation or strength we call our strokes our art. I will not fail but i will fall… into the water…
The Second: I’ve been cast in a new Play called “Animal Animal Mammel Mine”…this Play will ultimately be performed as a part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts in April 2013. The first leg of this project was workshopped from Dec 1st-16th and was previewed on the 16th to pleased administrators and performing artists. I’m one of five Actresses in this evening length Play that addresses issues of environment, population growth and the Journey Women face in their decisions to become or not become Mothers.
The Third: I joined together with Philadelphia Dancers Ellie Goudie Averill & Hedy Wyland to perform a Dance work entitled “For Members Only”… This piece was also performed in this past year’s Philadelphia Fringe Festival and was a great success and so much fun to revisit!!
I am at this very moment packing up to head to North Philadelphia to have a Photo Shoot with one of Philadelphia’s Beautiful Dance Artists and then going straight to the train station to make my way to Virginia for the Holidays.
I’m so very grateful to each and every one of you for your ongoing support. I am 90% finished with Backer Rewards and simply can’t wait to send them out in the first few weeks of January! Be on the lookout as I will shortly be sending an email requesting Mailing Addresses from some of you!
